Bardball Bardcast #02

Welcome to the second Bardball Bardcast. Bardball is a website
dedicated to baseball poetry, specifically poetry about the current
season. Poetry and doggerel have had a long history with baseball,
which we are honoring and resurrecting. Fans contribute the poetry,
songs and videos we post on Bardball.com. At the end of the year, we
hope to have immortalized the entire season, for every team nationwide,
in song and verse.

This Bardcast contains:

"Long Toss," by Todd Herges, a father's touching tribute to a daughter's long-distance trip to Chicago.

"Triumph of the Willis" by James Finn Garner, a salute to a strong return to the pitcher's mound by the Tigers' Dontrelle Willis.

"Sitting in Box Seats During Later Innings" by Thomas Dyja, a parody of Robert Frost about sneaking down to more expensive seats during a game at Wrigley Field.

"A Perfect Game" by Gregory K., about a son taking in a minor league game with his dad, where the play on the field is only one of the joys of the evening.

Our theme music, "Elmer 21-Century Hop" was written by Rodd Keith. Our incidental music was written by Kevin MacLeod at Royalty Free Music, with the exception of "Kitten on the Keys", which was written by Zez Confrey. Go Zez!!

For fresh baseball poetry every weekday during the season, check us out at Bardball.com.
